A Day Trip To Tatton Park Gardens In Full Bloom

We enjoyed a sunny day at Tatton Park Gardens exploring the gardens, having a picnic, admiring the views and marvelling at the pretty flowers. Tatton Park Gardens are in full bloom this time of year, everywhere you look is awash with vivid colour and luscious greenery. Here are a few pics and ramblings from our day:

Organic Kombucha

We found a spot overlooking the expanse of parklands and enjoyed a summer salad and sampled some Equinox Kombucha drinks that come in several flavours including wild berry, original, ginger and raspberry and elderflower. Kombucha is a small artisan brewery based in Hebden Bridge (not far from where I grew up!) Kombucha is packed full of naturally occurring vitamins and minerals and is a great healthy alternative to regular fizzy drinks.

Tatton Park Gardens

Tatton Park Gardens really are a spectacular way to while away a day, the gardens boast an ample walled kitchen garden, a Monet-esque lake, a Japanese garden, the Tower garden, rose garden, topiary and a maze (where Theresa got royally lost and never did find the middle)!

In the Tower gardens I spotted this beautiful planter dating back to 1640. Everywhere you turn at Tatton there’s an interesting corner, beautiful planting, picture perfect scenery steeped in history.

With the weather hotting up and the flowers in full bloom there’s no escaping the unrivalled joys of summer. The pathways are ablaze with colour, sitting by the lake and taking a moment to digest the majestic landscaping, it’s like stepping into a Monet painting with the warm summer light, glorious water lilies and mesmerising reflections upon the water.
